AMSTERDAM, NL (MARCH 12, 2013) – Today, CONVERSE Inc. announces the launch of GET DIRTY, an 11-city music series featuring performances by renowned international artists and up-and-coming local talent. Kicking off in Paris on Tuesday, March 19, GET DIRTY will jump, kick and scream its way across London, Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Vienna, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Milan.
Inspired by the Converse seasonal brand expression “Shoes Keep It Clean, Sneakers Get Dirty,” the new music series celebrates the uncompromising mindset of throwing yourself in headfirst and resurfacing with the marks and scuffs that prove it. The eclectic line-up pairs local artists like Hoax and Pional with established acts like The Raveonettes, Black Lips, Gallows, Vivian Girls and Major Lazer, offering fans an unrivaled music experience across some of Europe’s most intimate venues.

Headlined by the Danish indie rock duo, The Raveonettes, the first GET DIRTY gig kicks off on March 19 at a new pop-up store – Converse 19YT – in the emerging Canal Saint Martin district of Paris. A rebellious attitude will rule over the multi-level 200m² space, where fans will be able to see live performances, get their hands on the latest Chuck Taylor All Star Well Worn and 70s Chuck collections, and add a “well worn” twist to their sneakers through a ‘Tune & Repair’ customisation service. Converse 19YT Paris opens on Saturday, March 23 and runs until Saturday, April 20. The store is open Monday through Saturday at 19 rue Yves Toudic, 75010, Paris. GET DIRTY comes on the heels of the Converse Rubber Tracks experience at SXSW in Austin, Texas, where bands have the opportunity to record for free in state-of-the-art facilities during the two-week festival.
